Some day my prince will come

I was browsing at the library today when I spotted a JC classmate and an acquaintance I had gone to London with.

Not quite in a sociable mood, I quickly went a few shelves away and buried my face in a sci-fi hardcover book.

They’re now a couple, I think.

I could hear them exchange sweet and tender words. I could see them leaning on each other. I saw them later as well at sistic as well, maybe getting Phantom tickets for a romantic evening?

A little cocoon of happy coupledom? :)

I guess I’m a big fan of couples.

I like them seeing them in their little cocoons of coupledom.

Holding hands while crossing Neil Road. Crisscrossing their feet and sharing a tub of popcorn at Odeon Tottenham Court Road. Possibly sipping the soup from the same Nanxiang dumpling. Perusing books at Kino together. Sharing crepes at Café Ar-Men. Peddling in-sync on one of those bikes for two. Posing for photos at Oia, soaking in the beautiful sunset rays.

Maybe it’s because I look forward to being in one of these cocoons myself.

I know there’ll be fights. Borne perhaps out of both passion and dispassion.

But life’s not quite complete without the sugar and the spice or the sourness and the bitterness (or the occasional indigestion).

Some day my prince will come
Some day we'll meet again
And away to his castle we'll go
To be happy forever I know

Some day when spring is here
We'll find our love anew
And the birds will sing
And wedding bells will ring
Some day when my dreams come true

I had my first taste of freshly made caramel this weekend. There was this sudden and surprising high, that still lingers on my tastebuds. (I want more more more!!!!!)

Firmly believe that love comes when one least expects it. And when it comes, I'm sure it'll be like this first taste of freshly made caramel. MMMMMMMMH!! :p
